Mehmet Emin Aksoy graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine after he had finished Sankt Georg Austrian High School. Then he graduated as a Family Physician Specialist from Turkish Ministry of Health Taksim Training and Research Hospital. After he has got Master’s Degree at Bosphorus University from Biomedical Engineering Department, he has been conferred upon the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering at the same university. Mehmet Emin Aksoy is fluent in German and English.


While he was serving as the Vice Director of Istanbul Health Directorate between the years 2003-2013, he founded Simmerk, the first Medical Simulation Center in Turkey, and the Biomedical Services Department established under the supervision of Turkish Ministry of Health Istanbul Health Directorate. He has been the founder & director of Simmerk Medical Simulation Center and project leader on Turkish Ministry of Health “I-Sim Virtual Hospital” project. He has also been the project leader of the Acıbadem University CASE (Center of Advanced Simulation and Education) Project. Dr.Aksoy served as the project leader & consultant for Turkmenistan Ministry of Health Medical Training Center in Ashgabat and as project consultant for Bahrain Defence Force Medical Training center. Dr. Aksoy has also consulted two more simulation center projects of two more state universities.


Dr.Aksoy is the founder & past president of the Turkish Medical Simulation Society and chairman of NASCE (Network of Accredited Skills Centers in Europe), which the official accreditation system for medical training centers in Europe, which is a Multidisciplinary Joint Committee of UEMS (The European Union of Medical Specialists - Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes). He has been serving as the director of CASE Medical Training Center at Acıbadem University and the as the program Coordinator of the Biomedical Device Technology Department since 2013.
