Ibrahim Asik

Ibrahım Asik, MD, FIPP, Faculty Member of Multidisciplinary Subspecialty Pain Medicine program and Algology Department in Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Ankara University and his medical and interventional techniques in Pain Management training from Ankara University and University of Michigan in USA. A nationally and internationally renowned Pain Management expert, Dr Asik is amongst the well known pain physicians in Turkey. He is mostly interested in intradiscal decompression techniques, epiduroscopic procedures and neuromodulation therapies.

Dr Asik is a member of World Institute of Pain and International Neuromodulation Society. He is the founder member of Turkish Neuromodulation Society and served as Board of Directors many years. He was also in the board of directors of Turkish Pain Society. He is co-founder of World Institute of Pain Registered Turkish section and serving as a co-chair right now. Dr Asik is the examiner and instructor of FIPP/CIPS examinations of WIP society in Istanbul and Orlando (2019-2023). He is also co-chair of the organization commitee of International Pain Istanbul VI and XII. WIP World Congress.
