Dr. Dellon graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1970, and then spent 2 years of research at the National Institutes of Healt. He completed a Hand Surgery Fellowship and Training in Plastic Surgery in 1978. He was made Professor of Plastic Surgery and Professor of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University in 1994. He received a PhD from Utrecht University in Netherlands in 2007 for his work with restoring sensation, preventing ulceration and amputation in diabetics by lower extremity nerve decompression. He has authored 6 peripheral nerve surgery books and more than 500 scientific publications. His first novel, The Prosector (2022), is about peripheral nerve research, is Historic Fiction with a woman protagonist set in 1910, called The Prosector.
